Montgomery County isn't a market to Mai — it's home. She grew up in Damascus, navigated the same school systems her clients are now researching for their kids, drove the commutes they're weighing, and watched neighborhoods evolve over decades.
As the founder of Damascus Life, a Damascus Fair Board Member, and a cheerleading coach with the Damascus Sports Association, she's not just licensed in this county — she's embedded in it.
"Most agents can tell you the price per square foot. Not many can tell you why the house on the corner always sells faster than the one mid-block. Mai can."
Where the data comes in.
Before real estate, Mai spent years in research science, program management, community health, health IT, and artificial intelligence. At the center of all of it: a graduate degree in medical microbiology and a trained instinct for reading data that most people overlook.
For buyers, that means offer strategies grounded in what the numbers actually support. For sellers, it means pricing strategy based on live absorption data, rigorous comp selection, and no optimistic guesswork at the table.
The way she works.
Mai's practice is consultative and relationship-first. She's not chasing volume — she's building a reputation one honest conversation at a time. That means being willing to say when a home is overpriced, being direct about timing when the market doesn't cooperate, and guiding buyers away from emotional decisions when the numbers say no.
Outside the office.
When she's not at a showing or pulling comps, Mai is cheering on her daughter's squad at Damascus Sports Association, tending to two dogs, a cat, and a horseback-riding daughter who inherited her mom's love for all things with four legs.
She is with Pearson Smith Realty — one of the most respected brokerages in the greater DC metro.
